RDF and Thesauri

This brief talk will provide an overview of RDF, the Resource Description Framework being specified by the World Wide Web consortium, and its application for the representation and use of thesauri and related taxonomic structures. After an overview of RDF, its use for representing the structure of Z39.19 conformant thesauri will be discussed. The talk will conclude with a description of related work on mapping between classification systems represented in RDF.
